The Town of Gore currently has two tornado sirens, and is exploring the possibility of expanding this system to benefit its citizens.  Weather permitting, sirens are tested and sounded at noon on the first Saturday of each month.

POLICE DEPARTMENT

The Gore Police Department typically employs 3-4 full-time officers and 3-4 part-time or reserve officers. Jerry Fields, pictured below, retired from the position of police chief in October 2009 after serving on the force for 30 years. Billy White is the current Police Chief. In the past few years, the department moved into its present modern facility at 1201 N. Main St. and upgraded its fleet with three fully equipped patrol trucks.

Municipal court (schedule subject to change) is held at the police station at 6 p.m.. on the second Tuesday of each month.
